Leaving the boys at home to put the
kids to bed Lorraine and I heading up to the Mountain Winery in
Saratoga to watch Duran Duran play in the cozy little outdoor
theatre. It was amazing! The winery is way up in the hills with a
fantastic view of the Bay area. It was a beautiful evening and we
picnicked on cheese and crackers and wine that once again was
forbidden. Being the good girls we are we hid ours in the kids
Lightning McQueen cups whilst others were much more brazen.
Inside the venue itself the $15 a glass
of Mountain Winery wine went down very easily and the concert was
amazing. Lorriane and I seemed to be the only members of the
audience who knew all the words and I got in trouble for waving my
hand in front of someones face who was trying to watch the show (it
called having fun you conservative Americans!). The drunker we got
the louder we sang. The played all the best stuff, my fave being
Come Undone. Shay was our taxi for the evening (which was fortunate
as theres no way we’d have made it home on our own!) as the 4 kids
happily slept the night away at our house.
Sore heads aplenty the next day but we
both agreed it was worth it and a trip to the Winery for next years
summer concerts is already in the planning
